Frequently asked
questions
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. All services are available both virtually and in person. Virtual sessions work the same way as in-person — same 45-minute format, same quality of care. You choose what works best for you.
How long is each session?
Sessions are 45 minutes. For individual and couples therapy, we meet weekly to build consistency and momentum in your process.
How much do sessions cost?
Individual therapy is $125 per session. Couples therapy is $140 per session. Payment is accepted via cash, Zelle, or card.
Do you integrate faith into your practice?
For clients who want it, yes. I bring a Christian and holistic perspective into my work — but it's never imposed. If faith is part of your journey, we can make it part of our work together. If it's not, that's completely okay too.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method for couples, and a holistic and Christian perspective. I don't apply these mechanically — I adapt them based on what each client actually needs.
Do I need a referral to start therapy?
No referral needed. You can reach out directly through WhatsApp and we'll schedule a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, what you're hoping to work on, and how you're feeling right now. There's no pressure — it's a conversation, not an evaluation.
Do you work with couples and parents too?
Yes. I work with adults, couples, and parents. Each has its own dynamic, and I tailor the approach accordingly.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Everything shared in sessions is confidential, with the standard legal exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to self or others). I'll explain these in detail during our first session.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. I see clients bilingually in both English and Spanish. (This website is in English, but sessions themselves can be conducted in Spanish if that's your preference.)
What are your credentials as a therapist?
I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Montclair State University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am a registered mental health counselor intern practicing in Tampa, FL, under clinical supervision.
How do I pay for therapy sessions?
We accept cash, Zelle, and card. Payment details are confirmed when you schedule your first session.
Do you offer group therapy sessions or retreats?
Yes. Renacer Hoy hosts group experiences and retreats for women working through similar seasons and relational patterns. Pricing varies by event — visit the Groups & Retreats page for current offerings and details.
